Kids in Nature - Web Resources
The following websites offer a wealth of information for kids and teens, their parents and teachers for experiencing nature and how to enjoy being there while learning about the environment and the need to take care of our natural heritage.
The Arthur Carhart National Wilderness Training Center offers an exciting learning opportunity and curriculum for kids of all ages you can explore.

Learn about stars and constellations with this Stay at Home Science Activity, designed to support all the amazing teachers, students, and families currently doing their part by staying at home. This lesson has two levels of activities. The first is great for younger children, the second can be a fun learning activity for all- including adults. In fact, the second activity was created by the folks at Cedar Breaks National Monument as part of their Master Astronomer Program. Find the lesson here and a fun introduction to the lesson below.

If you Google "kids in the woods USFS," you will find many press releases and comments about partnerships and associations of the Forest Service with others, as well as information about the Forest Service's involvement with educating kids in nature.
